Integrative Psychiatry
It is important to remember a person is comprised of their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.
What does integrative psychiatry look like:
- Longer appointment times
- Herbal Medicine (I have a Community Herbalism Certification)
- Using lower dosages of medication (future goal)
- Exploring the Mind/Body/Spirit connection
- Supportive therapy
- Multi-sensory guided imagery
- Utilizing other Contemporary Alternative Medicine modalities (future goal)
- Resources for other healing modalities including: reiki and sound baths (future goal)
In our initial consultation we can discuss what needs there might be and find what might best fit your unique needs.
Lifespan Psychiatry
At Fervent Healing I am able to treat across the lifespan, but I especially enjoy treating even the youngest members of the family!
I enjoy interacting with all ages but specifically 5 to 18, I am here for examination, diagnosis, treatment and the ongoing mental wellness for your children. I have worked in pediatric psychiatry for 3 years and have experience within acute inpatient and residential facilities.
Illnesses and situations I have seen:
Anorexia and nutritional deficiencies, Behavioral Disorders, Suicidal Ideation and Attempt, Sexual Abuse, Child Abuse, Depression, Bipolar, Catatonia, Acute ingestion of substances with and without intention of unaliving, self-injuruous behaviors, and other at risk behaviors.
Grown-ups sometimes forget they were teens once and their needs were different. I offer opportunity for therapeutic conversation to facilitate stronger communication.
Being able to connect and guide this population during time of crisis is one of my passions and in order to connect it is important that "one" does not forget where they came from.
Telehealth Services
Sometimes there are obstacles to coming into a medical office and waiting rooms can increase anxiety, but help is still available. Our provider can meet you over a HIPAA compliant connection. Same day appointments available!
